"Subject: hey! Body: It was great finally meeting you last night! You are ridiculously talented and I'm happy Flav[ed: My guitarist] has finally met a cool singer[ed: Me] to work with. You guys have this amazing chemistry on stage and it's rare to see that nowadays. I seriously felt like I was in a time warp watching Page and Plant. Last night was real rock n roll. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys achieve bigger and better things.

That's what it's all about. Pictures to come.
Here's a few sneak peeks of my life in CA. If you're a facebook enthusiast, you've probably seen them, but if not; enjoy.

I have decided that I will be in LA semi-permanently on November 1st. This move is entirely related to the future of my band and should reflect, for those of you who don't know, how serious I am about my music career.
I will be packing up an automobile of some sort (currently trying to get my hands on a Honda Pilot) and driving right across the great, wide plains and purple mountains of the USA and parking my hindquarters on an entirely different coast with the intention of playing music for a living. Events in my life have encouraged this move/made it possible and, though I will always be a New England boy at heart, I feel I will be a Californian for awhile.
This being said, I will be sleeping in my car/showering at rest stops unless one of you beautiful LJ angels in the midwest/east could lend me your floor for a night. I would be greatly appreciated.
Also: Here's a link to my band's myspace. Check out the music if you haven't already.

That's right boys, girls, and hermies;
Your favorite quartet is playing The Paradise lounge tomorrow night (Friday) at 10:30. The show starts at 9pm and costs a MEASELY $10. The West will grace the stage with the illustrious Ladycop(our partners in NYC crime) and returning champions, The Black Tie Affair(our partners in regular crime). This will be a serious Rock and Roll experience for all of you die-hards, packed with a few special surprises (as The West loves to do).
No, wait! Don't get too drunk yet. The West is participating in a 30 band, all-day, battle of the bands over at The Greatest Bar the following MORNING (??who booked that??), so swing over at 2 to vote for the handsomest band (or best sounding, we don't care how you vote).
Also, in case you haven't seen it yet, I'll throw the video of Compliment Takers right in this message (provided the HTML Gods are smiling upon us) for your viewing pleasure. This was the live footage shot by Adam Yeremian (!!) of IMPnow.comfame during our performance on the 3rd in NYC's LIT Lounge. Here she be: The Compliment Takers

Hey New York Livejournal friends!
Who is coming to see me play in the East Villiage at LIT Lounge with my band on August 3rd? Fair warning.

Well, here's a quick way to show all my lovely, beautiful Livejournal angels what I've been up to :)
T-shirts, buttons and hardcopies will be available soon but for now, you can head over to our myspace and download electronic copies of our EP! It's only $5 and it would be very much appreciated as this is the real beginning of my career. I know you will be pleasantly surprised as this is the first in a string of recordings of really good music we will make.

My fear of being the annoying guy has turned into me being dismissive.. hit one extreme to get away from another, it seems.
Another one bites the dust. Bugger. Ugh.

Come celebrate St. Patrick's day in style with The West The Elephant House, Beagle Puss, and Mike Maven at one of Boston's hippest digs. The West will be opening up this Rock'n'Runway show right at 7pm in a style becoming of only rockstars and models so grab your Manolos and a clutch and prepare for a perfect evening of debauchery.

Alright kids, let me give you all the lowdown.
If you don't know about the party on sunday you are square. We're having a New Year's throwdown here, as usual, and this year we're going to be decorating the New Year's Tree. A tradition that has been started by my mother and my lack of time to decorate our christmas tree, so we're using this opportunity to create something brand new and amazing! Bring all the blue and silver ornaments you want (tinsel included) because at 2pm on sunday we will be having a little brunch/pre-party decorating party! Don't worry, it will resolve itself in time for everyone to go home and get dressed and get ready for the actual partying. That's the news regarding 2006.
The 2007 news is a bit more exciting, I would say. Next year will see the release of the first four songs by my band, The West, produced by Mr. Brian Packer himself. Not only will we be greeting the new year with this CD, but there are also TWO tentative gigs at The Hard Rock Cafe in Boston on January 20th, and TT The Bear's in Cambridge on January 28th (the former of which is much more tentative than the latter). So, I am reaching out to all of you to plan on coming and celebrating Terry Doyle's birthday with us at TT's in Cambridge on January 28th at our first, official concert in Boston!

I am the greatest cousin in the world. I am looking forward to christmas morning.
